My origins and roots, on my mother\'s side derive from this wild yet cosmopolitan island of Santorini. The first time I visited Santorini, I was two years old. As soon as I saw this wild, incredible view of the deep blue sea and the volcano I felt connected to the land of my ancestors straight away. Aegagros Caldera Houses used to be our own houses where we, as a large family, used to spend our summer holidays. Therefore, each house is carefully furnished and decorated with objects and antique furniture of the cycladic tradition. The Houses have now been transformed according to the needs of our visitors, trying as always to maintain the traditional character of the island. This is why we chose not to build pools or jacuzzis. Santorini is an island where water is scarce and locals used to have to collect rainwater in order to sustain their livestock and families. In addition, water is so valuable nowadays that we think we are doing our bit to conserve natural resources. What we want to offer our visitors is a unique holiday which cannot be found anywhere else. Our aim is to welcome you and make you feel more like guests than clients. To help you discover Greek hospitality and the traditions of Santorini. In Aegagros Houses you will relax and feel away from it all, you will be able to recharge your batteries and revitalise body and soul.
We also offer organic home grown vegetables and fruit which grow in our own gardens! Every morning we serve delicious breakfasts, with our own eggs and home made bread. We also serve marmalades, jams, crepes, pancakes and a variety of organic Greek cheeses! Aegagros Caldera Houses is an excellent choice for the discerning holidaymaker!!
